Saving Lives, One Paw at a Time!

All contributions, both in supplies and monetary form, directly contribute to the welfare of animals under our care. These funds cover medical and food expenses for stray animals, those surrendered by owners, and those rescued from local shelters, aiming to alleviate the shelter population.

Medical care encompasses spaying/neutering, vaccinations, treatment, medications, microchipping, and emergency care for animals belonging to underprivileged community members. Donations also support animal food, cat litter, puppy pads, shelters, and winter straw. The rescue actively assists struggling families by providing pet food during challenging times, encouraging community members to seek assistance when needed.

UAARS initiated a program dedicated to covering the medical expenses of animals in distress, in honor of Emily Hahn. Emily, a passionate pet stylist and animal enthusiast who had rescue dogs and cats as her pets, passed away at the age of 28 in 2012 due to brain cancer. Despite her untimely departure, Emily's enduring love and impact persist.

By donating to Emily’s Heart, people are donating toward medical expenses of our rescue.
